Not Dead Space, but very close: The Callisto Protocol's CTO spoke out about comparing the new game to Glenn Scofield's cult horror

Since the release of the space horror The Callisto Protocol the game was not unreasonably compared to Dead Space.

These projects not only have a common "parent" in the person of Glen Schofield, but also have a similar setting, gameplay mechanics, interface elements, and identical atmosphere of the game.

Technical Director of The Callisto Protocol Mark James gave an interview to TrueTrophies, in which he spoke out about the comparison of the new project with the famous Dead Space series.

He admitted that many elements really repeat the cult horror series by Glen Scofield, but the studio had no intention to create a clone of Dead Space.

We didn't develop The Callisto Protocol as Dead Space 4. We created it as a new sci-fi horror game that uses some elements that were successful in that franchise, but were also successful in other games.

While the games are incredibly similar, The Callisto Protocol will still delight gamers with unexpected situations and new game mechanics.

To be sure in the words of Mark James the players will be able on December 2, 2022, when the horror will be released. The Callisto Protocol will be available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
