It's happening! CD Projekt RED made a big announcement: a remake of the first part of The Witcher is already in development!

To celebrate the 15th anniversary, without exaggeration, of the iconic The Witcher franchise, CD Projekt RED made the announcement that fans of the fantasy universe have been waiting for years!

The famous developer announced that the Polish studio Fools Theory is working on a remake of the very first part of The Witcher!

We're thrilled to reveal that, together with @Fools_Theory, we're working on remaking The Witcher using Unreal Engine 5 (codename: Canis Majoris)!

Only three facts are known about the project:

1. This is the same game that CD Projekt RED mentioned when it talked about its future plans. Then the project appeared under the working title Canis Majoris.
2. The game is created on the Unreal Engine 5.
3. The development is at an early stage, and the creator of the original game welcomes any creative ideas of game designers studio Fools Theory.
