Electronic Arts will develop at least three games for Marvel

Electronic Arts has signed an agreement with Marvel to develop "at least three new adventure games", each of which will tell a separate story of a Marvel character.

Here's What We Know

The first in the list of projects is the game about "Iron Man", which EA Motive is working on - it was announced in September. The development was led by Olivier Proulx, who also worked on Marvel's Avengers and Guardian of the Galaxy. The game is planned as a single-player third-person action adventure. It will tell a canonical story "that touches upon the rich history of Tony Stark's Iron Man". At the time of the announcement in September, the game was in pre-production so we were not given a release date.

"We are long-time fans of Marvel and their impressive leadership in the film industry, so this is a special moment for our developers, as well as for our players and fans,"- EA COO Laura Miele, "We look forward to this collaboration bringing an exceptional experience to our players. We can't wait for players to put on the Iron Man armor and do the amazing things the hero is known for."

Unlike Star Wars, the deal with Marvel is not exclusive - former Uncharted creative director Amy Hennig is currently working on games based on Black Panther and Captain America.
