Samsung Unveiled World's First 57" Dual UHD Gaming Monitor: Odyssey Neo G9 (G95NC)

Samsung Electronics Unveils at CES the Next Generation of Display Technology. The Odyssey Neo G9 has revolutionized the gaming monitor market with its groundbreaking dual UHD 57” curved display, setting a new standard for monitors in the years to come. 

The Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 Gaming Monitor is pushing the boundaries of gaming visuals with its 7,680×2,160 resolution and 32:9 aspect ratio. This 57” monitor marks the first time a single screen has been able to deliver this level of detail.

The display is curved in a 1000R shape and uses quantum mini LED technology with VESA Display HDR 1000 specification for superior imaging. The matte finish reduces light reflection and minimizes distractions during intense gaming.

The Odyssey Neo G9 is the first monitor to support the new DisplayPort 2.1 technology, which transfers data at twice the speed of the previously used DisplayPort 1.4. Furthermore, the DP2.1 allows lossless industry-standard Display Stream Compression (DSC) to transmit information without distortion.

Gamers will also benefit from a refresh rate of 240Hz, ensuring that they won’t miss any action during fast-paced gameplay.

The Samsung Odyssey line of gaming monitors was first introduced in 2018, with the Odyssey G7 and G9 models. The G7 model was the world's first 1000R curved gaming monitor, while the G9 model was the first gaming monitor to feature a 32:9 aspect ratio and 7,680×2,160 resolution. Both models set a new standard for gaming monitors, and have since become some of the most popular gaming monitors on the market.
