During the holidays, the number of players in Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 has decreased dramatically
It became known that the number of players in Call of Duty: Warzone2.0 dropped sharply during the holidays. Activision itself did not share any statistics - the information was shared by @charlieINTEL, a reliable insider when it comes to the franchise.
It is not clear how many players stopped playing the game since its release in November, but the game still became one of the most popular free games.
We've heard from multiple people that Warzone 2's player count dropped over the break at a higher rate than expected. Unclear what it all means for what will change at this point. Hope we get some good updates soon! ????

A new PlayStation blog post recently revealed that Warzone 2.0 was the most downloaded free-to-play game on PlayStation 4 and 5 in the EU in December 2022 and the second most downloaded in the US. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, which launched a month before Warzone 2.0, also continues to be one of the best-selling games on PlayStation.
What exactly caused the outflow of players is not known.
