Activision presents Season 4 in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2

Activision has officially presented Season 4 in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0. The main innovations are the new Vondel mid-map and seven new maps for the multiplayer mode.

Here's What We Know

Activision describes Vondel as "the coastal district of a baroque European city, where centuries of old-world history are combined with modern architectural developments". At the start, the map will support Resurgence, DMZ, and Lockdown LTM modes, and the standard Battle Royale mode will appear later this season.

Season 4 of Warzone will bring over half a dozen new features, including tactical amphibious vehicles, the return of favourite supply crates, dynamic fog, and battlefield improvements. In addition, Al-Mazra will undergo "some minor topographical changes", which will result in a reset of Warzone Ranked Play.

As for the game's multiplayer mode, six new maps will be available at launch, and the main map, Vondel Waterfront, will receive a mid-season update. Available at launch will be: Showdown (main map), which previously appeared in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Kunstenaar District (main map), Mercado (map for Gunfight mode), Penthouse (map for Gunfight mode), Mawizeh Marshlands and Ahkdar Village (map for Battle mode).

In addition, Modern Warfare 2 will feature 12v12 Search & Destroy and another one-life mode, 12v12 Prisoner Rescue, as part of regular playlist updates.

Season 4 is scheduled to launch on 14 June at 17:00 EEC.
