Google's $500 Pixel 7a tops the iPhone 14 and Samsung Galaxy S23+ in the DxOMark camera test

Google recently announced the Pixel 7a smartphone. A few days later, experts from DxOMark tested the device's camera.

Here's What We Know

The Pixel 7a's camera scored 133 points. The smartphone's photo capabilities earned 138 points. The zoom performance was rated at 105 points and the ultra-wide-angle module was rated at 104 points. The novelty received 133 points for video quality.

With a total score of 133 points, the Pixel 7a ranked 27th. The iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, Samsung Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ scored the same. Meanwhile, the Pixel 6 Pro scored 1 point more, while the Pixel 6a settled in the middle of the sixth ten with 122 points in its asset.

The Google Pixel 7a is equipped with a 64 MP primary camera based on a 1/1.3" optical sensor. The module has autofocus and optical image stabilisation. The smartphone also gets a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle camera. The Pixel 7a basic model will cost $500.
