Honor unveiled new bendable Magic Vs smartphone with improved hinge, from $1050
The bendable smartphone Honor Magic Vs became the main novelty of the big presentation of the Chinese company, where the Honor 80 was announced, as well as SE and Pro versions.

The Honor Magic Vs is the successor to the Honor Magic V, which went on sale in mid-January 2022. Almost a year has passed between the presentations of the two smartphones, but many characteristics remained unchanged.
For example, the novelty received the same Foldable OLED display with a frame rate of 90 Hz, HDR10+ support and a resolution of 1984 x 2272 points. The diagonal was 7.9". The back side of the smartphone still has a 120 Hz OLED panel measuring 6.45" diagonally.
The Honor Magic Vs uses a completely new hinge design, due to which it was possible to get rid of the gap in the folded state. The new generation smartphone has become almost 30 g less weight. The company was also able to significantly reduce the thickness of the device - from 6.7 to 6.1 mm in the unfolded state and from 14.3 mm to 12.3 mm in the folded state. According to the manufacturer, the hinge has withstood 400,000 bends, which is enough for more than 10 years at 100 bends per day.
The main camera resolution was 54 MP + 50 MP + 8 MP, while the front camera was 16 MP. The January model got three 50 MP modules, but lacks a telephoto lens. But it has a 42 MP selfie camera with 4K support. The new generation smartphone can record video in 4K only on the main camera.
The battery capacity increased from 4750 mA*h to 5000 mA*h, but the fast charging power has not changed to 66 watts. Instead of the mobile chip Snapdragon 8 Gen1 is used its overclocked version Snapdragon 8+ Gen1. The Honor Magic Vs runs on Android 12 with MagicOS 7 firmware.
Price & When We Can Expect It
The first batch will go on sale on November 30 in black, blue, orange, gold (12/512GB only) and another black (12/512GB only) colors. The global version will appear in the first quarter of 2023.
