HTC, as promised, held an event today to showcase its new U-series smartphone.

Here's What We Know

The gadget has been named HTC U23 Pro. It has a 6.7-inch OLED display with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The screen has an aspect ratio of 20:9 and is covered by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.

The novelty runs on last year's Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor. The smartphone also packs 8/12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. This can be expanded with a microSD card if desired. The device has a dual SIM slot as well as a single 32 MP front camera and a main camera with four sensors: 108 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP + 5 MP. The novelty has IP67 water protection.

The gadget is powered by a 4,600mAh battery that supports 30W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging. The device has NFC, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 and a headphone jack. The smartphone comes with Android 13 operating system and support for the VR platform VIVERSE.

Price & When We Can Expect It

The HTC U23 Pro is already available for pre-order in Taiwan. The smartphone is available in two colours and costs $552.
