Apple released iOS 15.1: Learn what's new and when to expect the firmware

Apple has not only released macOS Monterey on October 25, but also a stable version of iOS 15.1 for iPhone users.

What's new

The system weighs 1.37 GB and contains quite a few useful changes. First and foremost, the developers have added support for SharePlay, which allows you to share Apple TV content, music and other apps with everyone in a FaceTime conversation.

The system also includes new quick commands, support for vaccination cards in Apple Wallet and Chinese language support in the Translation app. Of the useful stuff, the developers have also fixed a lot of bugs, and added the ability to disable automatic switching between cameras when taking macro photos or videos on iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. By the way, these iPhone models still got support for shooting in ProRes.

When to expect

The update has already become available to all supported devices.
