OPPO Find N 5G - 120Hz foldable display, Snapdragon 888, two 32 MP fronts, high capacity battery and ColorOS 12, priced from $1,210
As expected, OPPO has unveiled its first bendable smartphone. The novelty is called OPPO Find N 5G. We already have a full review of the smartphone, which can be found in a separate article.
Display
The model is made in the form factor Samsung Galaxy Fold. It is equipped with two displays based on AMOLED matrix. The foldable has a 7.1" diagonal and a resolution of 1792 x 1920 pixels. The refresh rate ranges from 1-120 Hz. One of the features of the display is the almost absent crease on the fold.
The second panel does not boast of support for increased refresh rates. The resolution is 1972 x 988 pixels and the diagonal has been reduced to 5.49”. The rear screen in OPPO Find N 5G is covered with the latest generation Gorilla Glass.
When folded, the novelty has overall dimensions of 132.6 x 73 x 15.9 mm, and when unfolded - 132.6 x 140.2 x 7.8-8.0 mm. The model weighs 275 g. The smartphone has a massive hinge Flexion hinge that inspires confidence. It took OPPO four years to develop it. Also worth noting is the lack of a gap when folded.
Cameras
OPPO Find N 5G is equipped with two front cameras and a triple main camera. For selfies, 32 MP modules with a Sony IMX615 sensor and an f / 2.4 aperture are used.
The main module of the main camera is built on a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 1 / 1.56 ”type matrix. The lens has an aperture of f / 1.8 and an EGF of 24 mm. We also note optical stabilization and phase detection autofocus. The 16MP ultra-wide-angle camera has a Sony IMX481 sensor and an f / 2.2 lens.
The third component is a full-fledged 13MP telephoto lens. It includes a Samsung S5K3M5 image sensor and f / 2.4 optics. The optical zoom is 2x. Supports 4K UHD video recording at 60 FPS.
What else
OPPO Find N 5G is powered by a Snapdragon 888 SoC paired with 8/12 GB LPDDR5 RAM. The storage capacity of the UFS 3.1 drive was 256/512 GB. The power subsystem is represented by a 4500 mAh battery. The manufacturer claims three types of charging:
- fast wired SuperVOOC, 33W;
- Fast wireless AirVOOC 15W (Qi compatible);
- reverse wired, 10 W.
Among other things, we note the side fingerprint scanner, support for face recognition technology, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 NFC, USB-C and GPS. The software platform is the Android 11 operating system, supplemented by the proprietary ColorOS 12 firmware.
Prices
OPPO Find N 5G will go on sale in China on December 23, 2021 for $ 1,210 and $ 1,415 depending on modification. The smartphone will be sold not only in China. According to Nils Scotdale, Senior Product Marketing Manager, In Europe, the novelty will cost less than € 1,800, in order to impose competition on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3. The foldable smartphone will be sold in white, purple and black body colors.
