Star Wars strategy game not cancelled: Respawn and Bit Reactor studios continue to work on the game
A few days ago it became known that Electronic Arts cancelled the development of a shooter based on the Star Wars universe, which was engaged in Respawn studio.
Many gamers remembered that a few years ago the same developer in cooperation with the studio Bit Reactor began production of strategy based on the popular sci-fi franchise and worried that this project was cancelled.
Here's What We Know
Developers from Bit Reactor, some of whom once worked on such famous projects as XCOM and Civilisation as part of the Firaxis studio, reported that work on the strategy game based on Star Wars continues - the restructuring at Electronic Arts did not affect the creation of the game.
Last week was difficult for the industry, and more so because of our strong relationships within the other teams at Respawn.

But for those asking, we are still hard at work, and our game was unaffected by last week's news.
The Star Wars strategy game was announced in January 2022 and there has been absolutely no information about it since then. We can only hope that such experienced developers will provide the public with a worthy and exciting project.
