Square Enix talks about the characters Yuffie and Cait Sith in Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth

Squre Enix has been building up to the release of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and recently released a new trailer along with screenshots and details about some of the game's locations, as well as details about the combat abilities of Yuffie and Cait Sith, both of whom will be introduced as new members of the group.

Here's What We Know

Yuffie was already available as a playable character in Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade's Episode Intermission, so players should be familiar with her skills. During combat, she uses her metal star for basic attacks, which speeds up ATB refills faster than most other characters, and has magic-infused ninjutsu techniques.

Cait Sith, on the other hand, is designed for those who value agility and speed. She can summon her moogle companion to help her in battle and has abilities that depend on luck. Using the Dropkick attack while riding her mogle, Kate can buff allies and attack enemies.

Yuffie and Kate the Cat can also interact through Synergistic abilities, which are special attacks triggered by combinations of both characters. One of these attacks, the Moogle Pinwheel, allows them to attack enemies with a "secret ninja technique".

Where To Play

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will be available on PlayStation 5 only.

When We Can Expect It

The game is scheduled for release on 29 February.
