Chancellor Olaf Scholz recently announced that Germany will transfer a new military aid package worth 1.1bn euros to Ukraine. Now the country's government has shared more details about the package.
A few hours ago, we wrote that Germany was handing over a new arms package to Ukraine. As it turned out, this is not all and the Germans are now preparing an additional package.
This time Ukraine received: 10 infantry fighting vehicles Marder, anti-aircraft system Skynex and ammunition for it, 2 radar stations TRML-4D, 2 engineering armoured vehicles SIWENT 1, bridge laying vehicle BEAVER, 10 ground radar systems GO12 and other weapons.
The information was shared by the press service of the manufacturer's company Rheinmetall. Deliveries of weapons will begin in the coming months. We are talking about two installations. By the way, Ukraine already uses Skynex, but unfortunately, it is not known how many of these anti-aircraft guns are on combat duty.
German defence concern Rheinmetall does not plan to give up the idea of building a new plant in Ukraine. Moreover, the company is ready to protect it with its own air defence equipment.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces have received Skynex air defence systems. This was reported by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, who visited the Italian defence company Rheinmetall Italia S.p.A.
