Cruise's robotic cabs rallied on San Francisco streets and blocked traffic

on June 28, several robotic cabs from Cruise blocked traffic at an intersection in San Francisco. They gathered in one place and caused the jam.

What we know

The robotic cabs remained at the intersection for two hours. The problem could only be solved by employees of Cruise, who drove to the scene of the incident. Last year, robots Waymo were in a similar situation as cabs gathered on a dead-end street every day.

Cruise launched a robot cab service in California last week. The unmanned cars move around with a driver behind the wheel during the day and autonomously at night. The company apologized for the inconvenience, but did not disclose the reasons why the cars caused the jam.
