The Ukrainian Armed Forces may soon receive a drone that will help intercept enemy UAVs. The novelty of Ukrainian developers is called Fowler.

Here's What We Know

Fowler can be used to intercept drones with fixed wing along with rotary-wing drones. At the same time, the novelty supports the work of the air target detection complex. It can provide protection against civilian quadcopters like the DJI Mavic or military reconnaissance-level UAVs like the Orlan.

The Fowler has a homing head that operates in the infrared and visible spectra. The interceptor operates in two modes. It can attack air targets or release a net on them. It is in a container and is activated by a proximity sensor.

The drone is 53 cm long and has a 42 cm wingspan. The Fowler is capable of intercepting airborne objects at altitudes up to 1 km that travel at speeds up to 50 m/s (180 km/h). The maximum range is 1.5 km.
