The Bayraktar Kizilelma took off for the first time during testing

Baykar continues its series of tests of the Bayraktar Kizilelma drone.

Here's What We Know

A few weeks ago we wrote that the unmanned fighter, as the company calls it, went from the hangar to the runway. And now the Bayraktar Kizilelma is off the ground for the first time.

The video of another test was published by Selcuk Bayraktar, technical director of the Turkish company. The drone's takeoff from the ground is considered one of the latest tests. Kizilelma will make its first full flight next year.

The new drone will be equipped with Ukrainian AI-25TLT / AI-322F or Turkish TEI TF-6000 engines. One version of Bayraktar Kizilelma will be capable of supersonic speed (from 1235 km/h). The drone will be able to carry a payload of up to 1.5 tons.
