EDGE GROUP has unveiled the Emirates Bayraktar TB2 - the REACH-M drone can fly for 24 hours and carry up to 350kg payloads

EDGE GROUP in the UAE has unveiled a new drone at the Dubai Air Show 2023. It looks like Bayraktar TB2 and is called REACH-M.

Here's What We Know

The Emirates drone uses the same aerodynamic scheme as the Bayraktar TB2. It has a payload weight of 350kg and a maximum takeoff weight of 1.5 tonnes. The company displayed Thunder-P31 (110kg) and Desert Sting-25 (47kg) bombs alongside the UAV.

REACH-M has technologies that allow the UAV to take off, fly through checkpoints and land on its own. The flight time with a load of 350kg is 24 hours.

The drone is equipped with wings with a 17 metre wingspan. The cruising speed is approximately 170-180 km/h. During flight, REACH-M can climb to an altitude of more than 26,000 feet (approximately 8,000 metres).

The new drone is a scaled-up version of the REACH-S, which was unveiled last year at the Dubai Air Show 2022. It has a maximum take-off weight of 640kg and can carry 120 payloads, and has a cruising speed of 145km/h.
