Mobile chip Intel Core i9-13980HX showed performance on par with the flagship desktop processor Ryzen 9 7950X

Intel will unveil its Raptor Lake generation mobile processors at CES 2023 next week. The Core i-13980HX showed good results in Geekbench.

Here's What We Know

The MSI Raider GE 78HX laptop passed the benchmark performance test. The result in the Single-Core test was 2097 points. A 12-core Intel processor is slightly behind the desktop chips Ryzen 9 7900X (12 cores / 2188 points), Ryzen 9 7950X (16 cores / 2192 points) and Core i9-13900K (24 cores / 2245 points).

And in Multi-Core mode, the 32-core Core i9-13980HX managed to beat the Ryzen 9 7900X, which has 24 threads. The result of the Raptor Lake processor was 22,062 points. It almost managed to equal the R9 7950X 32-thread desktop chip. But the Core i9-13900K with 32 threads went far ahead with 25,465 points.

Intel Core i9-13980HX has 8 performance cores (P) and 16 energy efficient cores (E). Only P cores have multithreading support. The maximum CPU clock speed is 5.6 GHz, which is an excellent indicator for a mobile chip.
