Ukrainian defenders demonstrated the operation of the KBA-118 miniature mortar.

What is known

The “pocket” mortar was developed by the Artillery Armament Design Bureau in 2012 and entered service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine three years later. KBA-118 - 60 mm mortar. It weighs 12.5 kg, i.e. about half the size of the AGS-17 Plamya heavy grenade launcher (31 kg).

KBA-118 is focused on the destruction of equipment and manpower in trenches and shelters. The effective firing range is about 1.5 km. The maximum rate of fire is 5-20 rounds per minute. Ammunition includes 120 shells.
