Five countries are ready to send Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine

The Armed Forces of Ukraine want a full brigade of Leopard 2 tanks. Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that already five countries are ready to send German-made tanks to Ukraine.

In the near future, Ukraine may significantly increase the number of Western armored vehicles. The UK has officially announced that it will send 12 Challenger 2 tanks. Also not to forget German Marder infantry fighting vehicles, American M2 Bradley and French AMX-10 wheeled tanks.

According to the foreign minister, taking into account Poland and Finland, which were the first to announce their plans to send Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine, five countries are already ready to share German tanks. Now they have to wait for Germany's decision, which will be made next week.

It is not yet known which countries are in question. Apart from Finland, Germany and Poland, the Leopard 2 tanks are already in service in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Turkey and the Netherlands. We do not take into consideration Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic, which are just beginning to receive German tanks.
