The artillery of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has destroyed the Russian Osa-AKM surface-to-air missile system. This was reported by the Ukrainian Naval Forces.

Here's What We Know

An M777 artillery system was used to destroy the Russian surface-to-air missile system. The Ukrainian Navy probably used the M982 Excalibur precision-guided munition.

Flashback

The Osa-AKM SAM system is aimed at destroying aerial objects that travel at speeds of up to 500 m/s. It can engage targets at a distance of 5km in altitude and 10km in range. The cost of the antiaircraft missile system is about $10 million.
