The Polish Defense Ministry continues to sign contracts for the purchase of Korean weapons.

Here's What We Know

According to Krzysztof Płatek, head of the Armament Agency of the Polish Ministry of Defense, Poland is buying 40-mm K4 automatic grenade launchers from South Korea. We are talking about "hundreds" of units and 500,000 rounds of ammunition. The deal is worth several million dollars. Deliveries of the weapon should start in the next few months.

The K4 is a South Korean 40x53 mm automatic launcher. It is based on the American Mk 19. It is designed by S&T Motiv company (formerly known as S&T Daewoo and Daewoo Precision Industries). The K4 was adopted by the South Korean Armed Forces in 1993. In addition to Korea, it is also used by the Iraqi, Libyan and Mexican armed forces.
