Windows 10 will not receive major updates after 22H2 and support will end on 14 October 2025

Microsoft has made another attempt to encourage users to upgrade to the Windows 11 operating system. The company has said that the upcoming update will be the last major update for Windows 10.

Here's What We Know

Windows 10 will not receive any major updates after 22H2. The lifecycle of the operating system is scheduled to end on October 14, 2025. This applies to the Enterprise, Education, Home and Pro versions of Windows 10.

The only exception is Windows 10 Long-Term Servicing Channel (LTSC). This version of the operating system will receive updates after 14 October 2025.

Microsoft "strongly encourages" users to upgrade to the Windows 11 operating system, which came out a year and a half ago. Windows 10, released in 2015, will no longer receive additional features.
