Microsoft has completely withdrawn support for the Windows 10 20H2 operating system

Microsoft has discontinued all editions of Windows 10 20H2. This version of the operating system was introduced in mid-autumn 2020.

Here's What We Know

Custom versions of Windows 10 20H2 have been updated for 18 months. The company discontinued support for Home and Pro last May. The Enterprise, Education and IoT Enterprise editions lasted a year longer.

The discontinuation of the distribution service, means that the operating system will not receive security patches and other updates. Microsoft recommends that users upgrade Windows 10 20H2 to a more recent build.

The Redmond-based company will continue to support Windows 10 21H2 and 22H2. However, for the custom versions of 21H2, the maintenance will last for about a month. Support is scheduled to end on June 13. Enterprise and Education editions will continue to receive updates for another year.
