Compact premium smartphone Balmuda Phone was removed from sales a month and a half after the release

At the end of autumn last year, the Japanese manufacturer of household appliances Balmuda announced a smartphone Balmuda Phone. It was positioned as a compact premium solution, and the price was $920.

The novelty began to be sold on November 26, 2021, but after a month and a half, the company stopped production of Balmuda Phone and removed the smartphone from sales. The manufacturer does not disclose the reasons for this decision. But according to unconfirmed information, this may be due to non-compliance with Japanese industry standards. Low demand should not be discarded either.

Recall that Balmuda Phone received a 4.9 ”FHD screen, an 8-megapixel selfie camera and a Snapdragon 765 processor. The battery capacity was 2500 mAh. Also on board the November novelty is NFC, Wi-Fi 5 and the main 48-megapixel camera. The body is splash-proof to IPX4.
