Elderly Ukrainians will be given away smartphones with a reduced rate for free - Zelensky announced the єSmartfon initiative

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, as part of the Diia Summit 2022 presentation, announced the єSmartfon initiative.

Her idea is to simplify access to public services for the elderly. Smartphones will be distributed to vaccinated citizens of Ukraine over the age of 60. Together with the phone, they will receive a special preferential rate.

The launch of the new state program is scheduled for the spring of this year. It is expected that it will cover 8.5 million people in Ukraine. More details about the program are not yet available.
