Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase gets rid of Russian clients

Popular crypto exchange Coinbase will stop providing services to Russians, which she announced on May 5, 2022 in a mailing list to clients who fall under restrictions.

The exchange will soon restrict access to accounts of citizens of the Russian Federation, legal entities and residents of Russia created in the Russian Federation. Sanctions will not affect all clients, but only those who have more than €10,000.

Until May 31, 2022, the exchange will not prevent the withdrawal of funds, but it is no longer possible to replenish wallets. If funds are not withdrawn Coinbase right to freeze them.
