OnePlus today officially unveiled a new gaming smartphone - OnePlus Ace Racing Edition. As the name suggests, it is related to the OnePlus Ace but has received some changes and a more attractive price.

What do they offer?

So, OnePlus Ace Racing Edition uses the same Dimensity 8100-Max processor, but instead of a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, a 6.59-inch LCD screen is installed. It still offers a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz (there are six modes: 30/48/50/60/90/120Hz), 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, and HyperBoost technology that attempts to keep game frame rates consistent.

Inside, there is a 5000 mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging, which charges the battery from zero to 80% in 29 minutes.

In addition, OnePlus worked with Razer to recreate the experience of using the Razer BlackWidow and Mercury keyboards. The haptic feedback, which tries to simulate keystrokes, is done using the X axis linear motor.

The main camera is equipped with a 64 MP sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle module (119 °), as well as a macro lens on the back. For selfies, there is a 16 MP front camera.

Other differences include a 3.5mm headphone jack. For those who don't like wires, there are stereo speakers with Dirac Audio support.

How much?

OnePlus Ace Racing Edition is offered in several versions:

  • 8/128 GB - $300
  • 8/256 GB - $330
  • 12/256 GB - $370
