HTC's first flagship in years is almost ready to launch HTC One

A long time ago HTC was the most "premium" Android smartphone manufacturer. HTC released a lot of incredible models, including legendary HTC One. Then something went wrong. Now we hear almost nothing about HTC. Maybe this will change soon. Dutch mobile certification body Telefication has announced that the phone with model number HTC 2QBK200 is ready for release. The presentation should take place as soon as possible.

Telefication did not share details about the characteristics of the new model, but back in March it was announced that HTC plans to release the first flagship phone running the Android operating system in a long time. This information was confirmed by the CEO of HTC Vive Asia-Pacific Charles Huang. True, it was then promised to release a smartphone back in April, but plans have changed.

The new HTC flagship will be the first since the HTC U12+, released back in 2018. HTC's upcoming flagship will focus on augmented and virtual reality applications, and will support deep integration with HTC's own open-source metaverse platform, dubbed Viveverse. It's worth adding that HTC sold most of its smartphone business to Google back in 2018 and has since only released budget and mid-range phones in some markets. Details on the new flagship are expected to emerge in the coming days or weeks.
