Samsung releases the world's first 240Hz 4K gaming monitor Odyssey Neo G8

Samsung Electronics has announced the global launch of the Odyssey G8 gaming monitors. The G85NB is the world's first 32" 4K gaming monitor with 240Hz refresh rate support. The new 32-inch Samsung Odyssey Neo G8 features a 1000R VA 4K (3840 x 2160) curved panel with Quantum Matrix technology, 240Hz refresh rate and 1ms (GtG) response time. The screen covers up to 95% of the DCI-P3 color gamut.

The Neo G8 is also equipped with Quantum Mini LED technology, which provides precise control of densely spaced LEDs, allowing gamers to see both darker and brighter scenes. In addition, a peak brightness of 2,000 cd/m2 and a static contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1 ensure greater detail and greater immersion.

The monitor is equipped with two HDMI 2.1 inputs and one DisplayPort 1.4. A handy feature is the Auto Source Switch+ function, which automatically detects when a signal source is turned on and switches the monitor to it. Equipped with a new display technology called Matte Display, the monitor provides protection from glare. The new monitor is priced at $1,650.
