Razer announced new Kishi V2 mobile gamepad with improved switches

Razer is releasing a new version of its Kishi mobile gaming grip in 2022. The Razer Kishi V2 has a more-solid sliding bridge, allowing for wider device compatibility than the original pad's flexible bridge did. Razer explains that you can remove the rubber inserts that keep your phone in place, which will help "some phones with phone cases" fit properly. Have fun figuring out whether yours qualifies.

Razer has updated the V2's switches, which are the components beneath the buttons that register when you press them. The microswitches found in Razer's Wolverine console pad have been substituted for the membranes used previously. There have also been modifications to the function keys, with a dedicated 'Share' button added at the front and a pair of programmable bumpers positioned next to the shoulder triggers.

The Share option will only operate with the Razer Nexus, the company's new Android companion app it hopes you'll start your games from. Nexus can also help you discover compatible games, broadcast your game to YouTube or Facebook, customize controller settings and program those fresh bumpers.

The Kishi V2 is another update to the original pad, which we already examined. It connects over USB-C rather than Bluetooth, cutting out the latency of other options. Today's Android version is available for $75.00 $99.99, -25%, and an iOS version will be released this fall.
