Rumor: Rockstar has canceled remasters of GTAIV and the first Red Dead Redemption

In 2021, rumors spread that Rockstar Games is republishing the first one Red Dead Redemption . Now these rumors have overheards that put a cross on the original rumors.

It acts as a source Tez2 , which specializes in news about  Rockstar.

“Reliable source with clear knowledge of the plans Rockstar says remasters GTAIV and  RDR1 have been considered over the past few years, but  Rockstar decided to give them up.

The reason may be bad reviews about  GTA: The Trilogy - Definitive Edition .”

On the one hand, a collection of remasters GTA: The Trilogy and it really turned out to be a disaster: the project was spread in the press, and the players generally dragged the trilogy to the bottom of "Metacritic". On the other hand, sales remained high: according to indirect indications, about 10 million copies were sold in the first three months.

According to  Tez2, now Rockstar continues to work on patches for The Trilogy, but gradually switches forces to  Grand Theft Auto VI  - the existence of the sixth part has been officially confirmed. In addition, the company is allegedly planning to release a next-gen update for Red Dead Redemption 2, but when exactly, Tez2 does not know.
