iPhone 14 Pro won't be the only model getting a performance upgrade

Apple has historically used the same processor in all of its new iPhone models, but this year, the regular variants will be equipped with a one-year-old chip, while the Pros will get a fresh SoC. That's not to say that you shouldn't like the 6.1-inch iPhone 14 or 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max because of it. The A15 Bionic that powers the iPhone 13 series is faster than any contemporary Android phone's processor. According to rumors, the iPhone 14 and 14 Max will have more base RAM (6GB vs 4GB) than their predecessors. The 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro and 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max will still have an advantage because of the faster LPDDR5 RAM standard, despite the fact that they'll lose some customers due to it.

The more significant take away is that the iPhone 14 and 14 Max will outperform their 2021 counterparts, despite utilizing outdated hardware. ShrimpApplePro was the first to mention Apple's rumored new front design for Pros late last year, resulting in this scoop. They claim that certain modifications, such on a new modem and internal structure, will improve standard iPhone 14 models' performance over previous versions.

According to the South China Morning Post, the iPhone 14 will include a 5G radio frequency (RF) chip that is based on TSMC's 6nm process. The chip is expected to be smaller and more efficient than the one in today's lineup, with available room used for larger batteries. The chip may also support Wi-Fi 6E, resulting in faster data rates, lower latency, and greater bandwidth. Other than that, an earlier report claimed that Apple plans to slightly modify the A15 for this year's normal models.

The iPhone 14 series is expected to begin at $799, which is the price of the 6.1-inch base iPhone 13 model. The iPhone 14 and 14 Max are expected to look similar to current standard models. They will not have a 48MP camera, pill-shaped cutouts, or Samsung's best OLED LTPO display with support for the always-on mode as Pro versions do. A new front camera may be included in their arsenal. In addition, September will see the debut of the Watch Series 8 and a rugged Pro variant of the iPhone 14 family.
