Unexpectedly: the old Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 Edge+ smartphones received a new software update

Samsung, unexpectedly, released a new system update for older smartphones.

Here's What We Know

We are talking about the Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 Edge+. Some users of devices in the Netherlands and Belgium received the firmware. In the Netherlands the update was released for the operator models of smartphones with build number G920FXXU6EVG1. In Belgium on the contrary unlocked devices received the update.

The firmware only weighs 13 MB and has no new features. Most probably the developers fixed some minor bugs in the software. By the way, in case you, suddenly, did not know, the Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 Edge+ were introduced more than 7 years ago. They debuted in 2015 with Android 5.0.2 on board, and now run on Android 8.0.
