Lithuanian Defense Ministry signs contract with WB Group to purchase Warmate kamikaze drones for Ukraine

The Lithuanian Defense Ministry signed a contract with the Polish company WB Group, which produces Warmate kamikaze drones.

Here's What We Know

This was reported by the Delfi edition. Lithuania will purchase two sets of UAVs from WB Group. They will include the units and 37 kamikaze drones. They are planned to be handed over to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Deliveries will start in October-November. The contract amount is 1,000,000 euros. By the way, this money was collected by Lithuanian residents as part of the Legion Of Boom initiative.

Warmate is a bomber ammunition from the Polish company WM Group. The drone was created in 2012, but it became popular only in 2020, after it demonstrated its effectiveness in the Karabakh war. The Warmate has a wingspan of 1.6 m and weighs 5.7 kg. The bomber is launched from a small air catapult launcher. The Warmate has a cruising range of 30 km and a top speed of 150 km/h.
