We've waited! Google released Android 12 update for Chromecast 4K

Google has released a major software update for the Chromecast 4K.

Here's What We Know

The firmware got the build number 220621.019.A2 and weighs 722 MB. The main innovation of the system was the update from Android 10 to Android 12. In addition, the device received HDR and surround sound settings, the ability to switch between refresh rates, as well as improved security, privacy and bug fixes. The system comes with a July Google security patch that closes many software vulnerabilities.

When We Can Expect It

The update has already started rolling out in waves to devices. All Chromecast 4K users will receive the flashing in the near future. By the way, the device is now on sale at Amazon for the promotional price of $49.98.
