Information was shared by our colleagues from The Verge. We are talking about macOS Catalina. According to the expert, Apple's operating system runs "fine" on the 7-inch device, although sometimes there are slowness in the interface. Also a minus is the long loading time of the OS.

By the way, we managed to install macOS Catalina on the device thanks to SteamOS and VirtualBox software. Whether the developer plans to develop the project is still unknown.
