The GeForce RTX 4080 tests show a large advantage over the GeForce RTX 3080 and an insignificant gap from the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti

In the benchmark Geekbench test results appeared GeForce RTX 4080 graphics card, which will go on sale in a few days.

Here's What We Know

The new graphics card has been tested in CUDA, OpenCL and Vulkan tests. The results were 300,728, 248,932 and 148,838 points respectively. Our hero lagged behind the top-end GeForce RTX 4090 graphics adapter by 21-32% depending on the mode.

Testing GeForce RTX 4080 shows a slight performance advantage over the last generation flagship in the form of GeForce RTX 3090 Ti. But the advantage over its direct predecessor, GeForce RTX 3080, is more significant.

NVIDIA announced the graphics card in September along with the GeForce RTX 4090. It got the Ada Lovelace chip with 9728 CUDA cores and 2.21-2.51 GHz. The memory capacity was 16 GB (GDDR6X) and the bandwidth was 720 GB/s. The price is $1199. NVIDIA originally introduced two versions of the card, but later changed its mind to release the GeForce RTX 4080 with 12 GB of RAM, which was priced at $899.
