The U.S. ordered a modification of AN/TPQ-50 radars for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Information about this appeared on the website of the U.S. Department of Defense. The Pentagon has signed a contract with SRCTec LLC. The contract is for $12,096,538. The radars will be modified in the city of Syracuse, New York. The work is scheduled to be completed by June 30, 2023. The modified version of the radar will be called UKR/TPQ-50. The Ukrainian Armed Forces will be able to defend themselves more effectively against Russian mortar and artillery fire with such radars.
