Chinese regulators require Tesla to recall more than 80,000 electric cars due to defects.

Here's What We Know

Recently we wrote that Tesla was forced to recall more than 350,000 Model S, Model Y and Model X cars in the U.S. The reason was problems with the headlights and airbag. Now the company will have to recall 70,434 Model 3, Model S and Model X cars assembled in the United States, along with 10,127 Model 3 cars assembled in China.

Tesla Model X and Model S owners will receive a software update over the air. The firmware update will fix a problem that can lead to a rapid loss of battery power.

And the owners of Tesla Model 3 will not be able to do without a visit to the company's service center. The problem lies in the seat belt fasteners. If a defect is detected, they will be subject to replacement.

It is worth noting that this is not the only unpleasantness for Tesla in recent times. A few days ago, the Model Y car caused the death of two people. The car for unexplained reasons began to accelerate sharply. The driver claims that the brakes failed, but Tesla said that the brake pedal was not used during the incident.
