Amazon is selling the new 5th generation Echo Dot smart speaker at a discount.

The device debuted in September and is now $59.99 off. The gadget is shaped like a balloon and boasts a motion sensor and a built-in clock.

The Echo Dot, of course, supports the Alexa voice assistant. You can use the speaker to control smart devices in the house. For example, adjust the temperature on the thermostat, turn lights on/off, etc.
