Five Xiaomi smartphones received a beta version of MIUI 14 on Android 13

Xiaomi is preparing to release a stable version of MIUI 14, and in the meantime smartphones receive a test build of the shell.

The beta version of MIUI 14 software with Android 13 operating system has become available for three Xiaomi smartphones and three Redmi models. These are the Xiaomi Mi 11, Mi 11 Pro and Mi 11 Ultra, as well as the Redmi Note 11 Pro and Pro+. All of them were announced in the fourth quarter of 2021.

The test build of MIUI 14 brings major innovations, including a "photonic engine." This feature improves the smoothness of launching third-party apps. But it is possible that after installing the firmware, smartphones will start to perform worse due to bugs in the "raw" software.
