57.5% of users voted for Elon Musk's resignation as CEO of Twitter

A few hours ago, Elon Musk asked users for their opinion on whether he should resign as CEO of Twitter. The answer may not please the billionaire.

Here's What We Know

Elon Musk acquired Twitter, which owns the social network of the same name, in October 2022. The deal cost $44 billion. The billionaire took out a $13 billion loan for the purchase, $3 billion of which was at a high interest rate due to the lack of debt security.

Within days of buying the company, Musk referred to himself as Chief Twit. In time, a Form 13D filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) revealed that he had become Twitter's CEO.

In his last poll, Elon Musk was asked if he should step down from his current position. 57.5% of 17.5 million voted yes. "Against" - 42.5%. The billionaire promised to listen to the majority. Whether he resigns as CEO of Twitter, we will know in time. Perhaps after he leaves, he will begin to pay more attention to Tesla, whose shares have more than halved since the beginning of the year.
