5 combat stances, riding and more characters: new details of Star Wars: Jedi Survivor

Game Informer has talked to Star Wars: Jedi Survivor game director Stig Asmussen. Now we know more details about the game and are ready to tell you the most important things.

Here's What We Know

Cal Kestis has now mastered 5 combat stances. Each type of enemy requires its own stance. For fans of Ghost of Tsushima, this mechanic will be familiar. But such elements make the gameplay more interesting, rather than forcing the gamer to simply press X.

For example, one of the racks will allow Kestis to wield a blaster and a lightsaber at the same time, which adds new dynamics to his movements. The developer says that this allows our Jedi to do unconventional things, because he himself is unconventional. This is due to the fact that his actions often go against the Jedi code.

There will also be a rack with two lightsabers and a "crusader" mode. The latter will resemble the style of Kylo Ren.

As for the new characters, the mercenary Bode Akuna will appear in the game. He and Cal form a special bond. They complement each other. At the same time, Bode plays the role of a friendly character who helps both in battle and in movement.

Exploring the world in the sequel will become more interesting. Cal will be able to ride a horse and move from point A to point B using a cable. These elements should improve research on the planets of a distant galaxy.

When We Can Expect It

Star Wars: Jedi Survivor is scheduled for release on March 17 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
