Xiaomi to unveil Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition smartphone with MIUI 14 and Snapdragon 778G

Xiaomi will not only unveil the Redmi K60 smartphones next week. Along with them will debut the Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition.

Here's What We Know

The original Redmi Note 12 Pro was unveiled two months ago in China and has yet to hit the global market. On January 5, it is expected to be presented in India, and closer to spring - in Europe.

Speed Edition version will get Snapdragon 778G processor instead of Exynos 1080 and MIUI 14 firmware straight out of the box instead of MIUI 13. Also the model will be equipped with an organic LED display.

These are all the specs that have been confirmed officially. The Redmi Note 12 Speed Edition is expected to retain a 5000 mAh battery, stereo speakers and the Android 12 operating system. The main camera resolution will increase from 50 MP to 108 MP.

The cost of the Speed Edition is not specified. The regular Redmi Note 12 Pro went on sale in China at a price of $235 to $305, depending on the modification.
