North Korean drones penetrate South Korean territory - KA-21 attack aircraft flew to intercept, but crashed

North Korea is once again staging provocations in the region. According to Reuters news agency, several North Korean drones have penetrated South Korean territory.

Here's What We Know

Seoul has put military planes and helicopters on alert. They fired several warning shots after drones were detected in the skies above the city of Kimpo.

A South Korean KA-1 light attack aircraft crashed during takeoff. It was reported by the Ministry of Defense of the country. The incident occurred at the Wonju air base. The pilots were able to eject.

After North Korean drones breached South Korean territory, the Ministry of Transportation suspended operations at Incheon and Gimpo airports at the request of the military. Flights were resumed about an hour later.
