TAI published the first images of the new Anka-3 Northrop Grumman X-47B style stealth drone

Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) is working on a new unmanned aerial vehicle. It is called the Anka-3.

Here's What We Know

The Turkish defense company has published the first images of the new generation drone. According to the manufacturer, this project could take drone capabilities to a new level.

The Anka-3 will get a turbofan jet engine. The drone will have a maximum takeoff weight of 7,000 kg and will be able to carry not only sensors to provide surveillance, but also weapons. Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay said the Anka-3 will be able to strike enemy air defense systems.

There are no more details about the drone. It will make its first flight in 2023. The Anka-3 looks similar to Northrop Grumman's X-47B multi-purpose drone (shown in the first image) that first flew nearly 12 years ago and has a cruising speed of nearly 1,000 km/h.
