Shanghai Tesla plant will resume production of cars in limited quantities

At the beginning of 2023, the Tesla plant in Shanghai will not work at full capacity. This is reported by Reuters news agency, referring to the production schedule of the American company, which came to journalists.

Here's What We Know

We wrote that due to the COVID-19 outbreak and falling demand for cars, Elon Musk closed the Shanghai plant, the largest Tesla facility in the world, ahead of schedule. The site will operate for just over two weeks in January, but with limited capacity.

In November, the facility produced more than 100,000 cars, an average of 3,333 units a day. How much of a reduction in car production in January is not specified at this time. But Reuters has learned that the plant will work only from 3 to 19 January. From January 20 until the end of the month, the site will be closed again. But for a good reason - because of the Chinese New Year.
