Apple raises the cost of battery replacement for all smartphones except iPhone 14

Apple has announced an increase in the cost of battery replacement in old and very old smartphones. The innovation does not apply only to models of the iPhone 14 family.

Here's What We Know

The cost of battery replacement will increase by $20. Now you can change the battery in smartphones, starting with the iPhone X, for $69. Replacing the battery in devices equipped with the Home button will cost $49.

The new pricing will take effect March 1, 2023, and will only affect devices without an AppleCare or AppleCare+ warranty. Battery replacement costs for iPhone 14 / 14 Plus and iPhone 14 Pro / 14 Pro Max smartphones will remain the same at $99.
